Take the opportunity to revitalise your own health and shed a few pounds while working on a wellness detox budget for your clients. Here is a beginner's guide to 60 day detox for wellness that you can incorporate into your practice:

Step-by-Step Guide to Your 60-Day Wellness Detox

1. Set Clear Goals for your Clients

Define your objectives and their objectives for a sixty day detox.  Aside from losing weight, what other health aspects are important for you as a coach and for your clients.  Are they interested in improved energy levels, or clearer skin? Having a goal set for your coaching practice and goals set for your clients.

2. Plan Your Detox Program

Choose the right detox program.  We currently offer a 60 day detox for general weight loss, a 90 day for healthier skin and a year long detox.  With our Health Storey wellness detox program, health coaches focus on the overall health and wellness of their clients over extended periods of time.  As a wellness coach, help clients plan their detox food budgets to prevent overspending which can drain their funds and derail their health coaching support team.

3. Set a Wellness Detox Budget

Coaches need to be realistic and look at their clients budgets. Figure out how much they are spending on food and entertainment a month by having them review their bank statements for at least three months.  This budget is the realistic wellness detox budget your client has available during their wellness journey.

If you are coaching, deduct from their food budget the amount needed for online coaching for two months or more.  Plan your client's food budget for two months and incorporate  chat sessions and emails from you, the wellness coach.   Look at the amount your client spends for groceries, supplements, sports clothes and equipment.  Make sure their ROI motivates them to continue using your wellness coaching program services.

4. Stock Up on Basic Tools

Don't Invest in basic kitchen tools like a blender, steaming basket, or food processor for the initial 60 day wellness detox. Keep your kitchen supplies minimal and save your money for additional food items or more coaching.

If your client is going to take lunch to work, have them invest in a bento box or lunch box to carry meal prepped food to work. Don't stress their budgets by asking them to buy all new kitchen products.  Budget-friendly coaching means keeping spending low on nonessentials.  You, wellness coach are an essential.  If they need a kitchen appliance tell them to borrow a friends or family members kitchen for a meal prepping weekend session. Meal prepping can be a fun social activity for your client without costing them more money.

5. Budget-Friendly Foods for Detox

Eating wholesome foods doesn't have to be expensive. Here's a list of detox-friendly items that won’t break your clients' budgets.

  • Apples
  • Frozen vegetables
  • Brown rice
  • Oats
  • Beans
  • Eggs

6. Strategic Meal Prepping

Spending a little time each week preparing meals can save money, reduce food waste, and help your client's stay on program. Here’s how to make meal prepping work for you:

- Plan Your Meals: Create a weekly menu plan for your clients and tell them to avoid last-minute takeouts. Look for simplicity in the menu planning—think stews, salads, and stir-fries that are easy to prepare.

- Batch Cook: Make larger quantities of meals (like soups, curries, or grain bowls) and portion them for the week. This will also help with portion control.

7. Incorporate Movement

Exercise enhances your detox efforts, but this doesn’t mean expensive gym memberships or having to certify as a fitness trainer.  Advise clients with budget-friendly options such as a low budget gym memberships which costs less than £40 a month or if they are not interested in the gym, try the following:

  • Suggest they Walk around their neighbourhood mapping out routes with an app.
  • Share Youtube Yoga videos or low intensity workout videos.
